Localized Strategy Accelerates Southeast Asia’s Green Energy Transition

From April 23 to 25, 2025, the Jakarta International Expo hosted the annual Indonesia Solar & Energy Storage Technology Exhibition, one of the most influential renewable energy events in Southeast Asia. Hengtong Group made a prominent appearance under the banner of its Indonesian subsidiary, Voksel, showcasing its commitment and capabilities in deepening its presence in the local market.

Localized Strategy Yields Results
As a key pillar of Hengtong’s Southeast Asia strategy, the Voksel booth attracted significant attention. On display were the 240kW European-standard DC fast charging station, a 5MWh containerized energy storage system, and a 7kW residential AC charger with matching connectors—all of which drew interest from professional visitors across the region.
Hengtong is not only bringing Chinese products to Indonesia but also developing customized solutions tailored to the Southeast Asian market. This localized approach was highly recognized by several PLN (Indonesia’s state electricity company) department heads, who praised the adaptability of Hengtong's technologies during their visit to the booth.

Strategic Partnerships Deepen
During the exhibition, Hengtong’s new energy team paid a special visit to PLN headquarters for in-depth discussions on EV charging infrastructure and energy storage cooperation. The two parties explored the feasibility of launching integrated solar-storage-charging demonstration projects across Indonesia’s major islands.
PLN remains one of Hengtong’s most important strategic partners in Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asian region. Building on an existing strong foundation, both sides agreed to expand their collaboration in grid-scale energy storage and EV charging infrastructure.
